housing
on june 7th, we have made preliminary reservations at fårö kursgård.
the reservations are due until february 1th, so make sure to confirm yours before that if you’d like to stay as close to the wedding venue as possible without having to sleep in a tent.
Fårö kursgård is aprox. 5 kilometers from lauters. a car will be driven to and from these locations during the course of the late evening.

besides fårö kursgård, there are a number of other options when it comes to where to stay.
since the island is larger than it perhaps seems, you’ll however need your own car.
transport
the easiest way to get to gotland, is the ferry from nynäs- or oskarshamn to visby. there are also flights from stockholm and gothenburg to visby.
book as soon as possible!

to get to fårö, you’ll have to take a ferry from fårösund. the ferries travel regularly, but the ferryman can arrange a trip during nighttime if needs be. you reach the ferryman at +46 771-65 65 65.
traveling to fårö and around the (smaller) island is most conveniently done by car. however, guests at the wedding are offered a limited amount of seats on a hired bus, leaving from visby at 11 am on june 7th, stopping at fårö kursgård before heading to lauters at 2:30 pm.
the day after, on june 8, the bus will leave from Fårö Kursgård for visby at 11 am,
please make sure to state in osa if you want a seat on the bus!

dress code?
“summer casual”, i.e. not too formal, not to shabby.
keep in mind that swedish summer, as early as we’re talking about here, is nowhere near “warm”. as it happens, most of the evening’s activities will be held outside, so bring something for the chilly, baltic winds.
How about kids?
if they’re of breastfeeding age, they’re welcome for the whole evening. otherwise, we’d like you for ourselves after the wedding ceremony.
any tips while on fårö?
yeah, get your own car — so you can go look for some of the most scenic spots on the whole of gotland. reach out to any of us and we’ll give you our favourites.
will there be a sauna?
there might. there will also be opportunities to swim in the ice cold baltic sea, so in any case bring your swimwear.
what about presents?
none. you guys coming to such a faraway place just for our sake is more than enough. so, no gold!
